SIN CITY is on a roll with big productions. The five hottest tickets? Shows about kooky knights. A tortured phantom. Dreamy acrobats. The Beatles. And after five years at the top, Celine Dion. With 39 million visitors a year, Las Vegas entices 76 percent of them to see at least one show. About a third of the showgoers see the big productions — even though tickets can cost $100 or more. The best way to get tickets? Call the hotel directly or book through its Web site. If you're lucky, you'll get to see the shows everyone is talking about. Celine Dion, 'A New Day,' Caesars Palace:

Cost: $79.55-$318.88. Dion's performances alternate with Elton John's "The Red Piano." Next year, Bette Midler takes over for Dion starting Feb. 20. (877) 423-5463, www.harrahs.com.

'Spamalot,' Wynn Las Vegas:
This new-to-Vegas show based on the hit Broadway musical is a tight 90 minutes and includes all the funniest parts of the Monty Python Holy Grail quest, including killer rabbits. Warning: It's got songs you can't get out of your head: "Always look on the bright side of life ..."
Cost: $69-$99. (888) 320-7110, www.wynn

Cirque du Soleil 'The Beatles LOVE,' Mirage:
This is proving to be one of the Cirque's most popular new shows; its score is a rousing selection of Beatles hits.
Cost: $69-$150. (800) 963-9634, www.mirage.com.

'Phantom: The Las Vegas Spectacular,' Venetian:
Cut to 95 minutes but preserving every song, the Andrew Lloyd Webber musical has improved with the trimming, critics say.
Cost: $75-$150. (866) 641-7469

Cirque du Soleil 'O,' Bellagio:

Still the best Cirque show; dreamy and romantic, with a lot of the action underwater.
Cost: $99-$150. (888) 488-7111, www.bellagio.com

If you can't get into these shows or prefer something more traditional, try seeing Danny Gans, who can sing like every star from Cher to Michael Jackson. It's a fun evening at the Mirage. Tickets $100, (800) 963-9634, www.mirage.com

Entertainers pop in and out:
Some entertainers just stop by Vegas to do a few shows. If you'll be there between now and November, check out these performers:

Magician David Copperfield at the MGM Grand, now through Nov. 28. Tony Bennett performs at the Hilton Oct. 12-13 and Jimmy Buffett will be at the MGM Grand Oct. 20 and 27.
